Poll: Americans Favor Government Action on Drug Prices

As prescription drug costs have come under more scrutiny, Kaiser Health News (8/20) reported that according to a poll by the Kaiser Family Foundation, 54 percent of Americans are currently taking a prescription drug and 72 percent think drug costs are unreasonable. The poll also showed that Americans believe that competition would be more effective than federal regulation in controlling prices (51% to 40%).
