340B providers maintain complex inventory management systems to ensure compliance with 340B Program rules, including patient definition, the duplicate discount prohibition, and the GPO Prohibition for certain hospitals. In addition, covered entities must obtain access to drugs, monitor pricing across multiple accounts and settings, and maintain budgetary balance within their departments. This panel will address compliance for purchasing drugs, achieving access and the 340B price for covered outpatient drugs, and considerations for managing drug shortages.

Apexus
Amanda R. Grego, PharmD, MS, 340B ACE, is the 340B Education Program Lead for the Operations Certificate Program at Apexus. She currently serves as a member of the ASHP Section of Pharmacy Educators’ Section Advisory Group on the Collaboration Between Health Systems and Academia and is President and Founder of The Leadership Insert, Inc., an organization that provides scholarships to underrepresented minority pharmacy students pursuing a role in pharmacy leadership. Amanda received her doctor of pharmacy degree from Xavier University of Louisiana. She completed a PGY1/PGY2 Health System Pharmacy Administration Residency at Harris Health System in Houston while concurrently completing a master of science degree in pharmacy leadership and administration from the University of Houston College of Pharmacy.
